ECHO Replication

Every year, new organisations replicate the ECHO model to increase access and capacity to provide health and educational services.

Becoming an ECHO replication partner requires the following:

  1. Learn more about ECHO to see if it fits your local needs and resources.  Join one of our ECHO Network Sessions to learn more and explore the ECHO model by contacting the ECHO Business Development Co-ordinator on (028 90781836) or via the Contact Us link.
  2. We ask that partners sign two documents: the Statement of Collaboration for Replicating Partners and our Intellectual Property Terms of Use Agreement.  The Terms of Use agreement are customised for each individual partner.
  3. Join us for Immersion training.  We ask that replication partners join us for 3 days to learn the specific best practices of implementing the ECHO model and running a successful teleECHO Network at their own ECHO hub.  We address partner/spoke recruitment and retention, curriculum development, hub IT best practices and data protection, use of iECHO tools and many more topics.
  4. Download the Steps for Implementation for more information on the timeline, steps and technical assistance available for replication.
  5. In addition to the steps outlined above, we offer the following additional support:
    • Training and technical support as needed.  This can include individual or group distance training in IT tools and resources, or support and technical assistance.
    • Access to an extensive database of replication-related tools developed and used by the ECHO Institute in New Mexico and a number of other replication partners world-wide. Documents include case-presentation templates, disease-specific curriculum materials, grant-writing and budgeting resources, etc.
    • Connection to the global MetaECHO community through our MetaECHO newsletter, monthly MetaECHO Community Calls, Partner Learning Session calls, and the global MetaECHO conference.

Immersion Training – In depth training to start your own ECHO

If your organisation is ready to replicate ECHO and has signed our partnership documents, (Replication – Steps for Implementation guidelines) we offer a 3-day training programme into the ECHO model and next steps for implementation.

Through Immersion, you will develop an ongoing relationship with our ECHO Team, who will assist you in setting up your own teleECHO Network.

This training programme is held at Northern Ireland Hospice, Belfast, Northern Ireland.

Target Audience – identified Implementation Team. The team composition varies, but we suggest at least one context expert or specialist (particularly important to bring the team lead), other members of your anticipated ECHO HUB Team and an Administrative or Co-ordination Lead (3-4 persons).
