HSE Social Prescribing

Social Prescribing is a key priority area of the Health Service Executive Ireland and is named in the 2023 National Service Plan.  It is also a core pillar of the Slaintecare Health Communities Initiative which commenced implementation in 2019 in 19 areas of disadvantage across Ireland. The aim of the ECHO Network is to support Social Prescribing Link Workers and those who are delivering on this strategic priority on behalf of the HSE.  It will provide a structured network to share learning, good practice, and develop guidance to inform the national work within the HSE.
