Public Mental Health

The Public Mental Health ECHO network is open to anyone interested in implementing a public mental health approach in their work. We welcome people from all areas of health, social care, government departments, councils, voluntary and community sector organisations, people with diverse experiences to join us and learn from each other.

The ECHO network is central to the delivery of the Promoting Mental Health and Emotional Wellbeing Action Plan 2026 – 2029 (linked to Actions 1 and 2 of the Mental Health Strategy).

This action plan is focussed on promoting good mental health and emotional wellbeing and on preventing the onset of mental health problems or mental illness across the life course.

The plan also recognises the need for strong partnership and action to address the wider determinants of mental health.

The am of the network is to increase knowledge, share good practice, encourage collaboration and partnership in relation to public mental health.
