Adult Safeguarding Network

The aim of the Adult Protection Joint Protocol ECHO project is to oversee the implementation of the revised Joint Protocol across the HSE and PSNI.

Objectives:

  1. To share real time Joint Protocol case examples and identify shared learning for practitioners and associated actions for practitioners.
  2. To identify areas for further discussion and escalation to the Joint Protocol Oversight subgroup of the IAPB Procedures Group.
  3. The oversight group would consider issues raised by either HSC Trusts or PSNI CRU around accessing the Joint Protocol arrangements. This will provide regional assurance and support regional consistency.
  4. The oversight subgroup would consider learning and make recommendations as appropriate to IAPB for amendments to the Live Joint Protocol.

The ECHO Network ‘All Teach All Learn’ ethos is to create a safe space for debate and discussion and creation of solutions and actions. Due to the complexity of this work and often grey areas of practice, reflecting individual’s complex lives and situations requires mutual respect for agency roles and responsibilities.
