    “All Teach, All Learn”

Project ECHO, the global movement, launches its film in Northern Ireland.

The Long Gallery, Parliament Buildings, Belfast was the chosen location to premiere a documentary showing how an innovative global methodology, Project ECHO, has supported the co-creation of new health and social care service delivery models in Northern Ireland. ECHO methodology aims to support patients on waiting lists by equipping health and care professionals with specialist knowledge.

Professor Sir Michael McBride welcomed everyone, paying tribute to the thousands of staff who have taken part in ECHO communities of practice across the region, and acknowledging that the Strategic Planning and Performance Group (SPPG), Department of Health, was instrumental in bringing the methodology to Northern Ireland.

The film shows the value of ECHO methodology worldwide, and how ECHO has become an important Northern Ireland good-news health story that has been amplified across the UK and Ireland.

Professor Max Watson, Programme Director – Project ECHO, said the film is an opportunity to showcase how the Project ECHO model empowers healthcare professionals to improve patient and client outcomes.
