    Overview

    About this network

This ECHO will bring care homes together in an engaging and collaborative exchange. Emerging issues RQIA have initially been cited on will inform the focus of the forum, starting with HSENI, to share understanding of the respective legislative roles and responsibilities of RQIA and HSENI.

It will give RQIA and HSENI the opportunity to learn about the challenges homes are facing and how we can work together for quality outcomes, through Q&A within ECHO sessions. Because ECHO runs online, it is a less resource-intensive way to engage than off-site staff training.

The network will build a community of practice for sharing best practice and new guidelines. Previous presentations will be available on Moodle, contributing to staff CPD when people are unable to attend. The initial focus will be at home manager level, kept under review depending on the topic. For example, HSENI sessions may be extended to home managers and estates support staff.
